Performance you can measure

HITEK publishes its heat numbers, so you can compare them with any brand on your quote. Three ceramic lines cover every budget:

Our heat-lamp test

We put four 30% films under the same heat lamp and solar power meter at the shop. With no film the meter read 240. HITEK Ceramic Ultra let 9 through, within 2 points of Autobahn’s top-tier i3+.

Film (30% shade)Meter reading (BTU/hr/ft²)Heat blocked
No film (lamp only)240–
Autobahn Ceramic i3+797%
HITEK Ceramic Ultra996%
Autobahn Ceramic i32888%
HITEK Ceramic Black4780%

All four samples were 30% films, within about 2–3 points of visible light transmission of each other. Heat blocked = (240 − reading) ÷ 240. One sample of each film under the same lamp and meter at Texas Tinted; a lamp test is a fair side-by-side comparison, not a lab rating.

Color that holds

Cheap dyed tint gets its darkness from dye, and dye breaks down in the sun. That’s the purple, faded tint you see on older cars. HITEK’s ceramic lines use nano-ceramic particles to block heat, and HITEK lists Ceramic Ultra with long-lasting color stability.

Because the film has no metal in it, there’s no mirror-like shine from outside and no signal interference inside. Ultra keeps a neutral, factory look. If you want your car to look blacker from the outside, Ceramic Black pairs a dyed base with nano-ceramic for a deep black finish with solid heat control.

A warranty that goes where you go

A lifetime warranty only helps if you can use it. HITEK’s is nationwide: it’s honored through HITEK’s dealer network, so if you move or have a problem out of town, any HITEK dealer can help with a claim, not just the shop that installed your film. It also transfers to the next owner if you sell the car.

  • Nationwide. HITEK says all of its films come with a nationwide warranty, installed by certified professionals.
  • Lifetime on the flagship. Ceramic Ultra is backed by HITEK’s Premier Lifetime Warranty.
  • Transferable. New in 2026: the warranty moves to the next owner when you sell the car, which is one more thing a buyer gets with it.
  • On record. Registering the warranty with HITEK’s e-warranty records your film and installation in HITEK’s system.
  • Dealers everywhere. Find one on HITEK’s dealer map.

Ask us for the warranty card on the line you choose. Terms vary by line, and we’ll go over exactly what’s covered before we start.

Pay for the film, not the logo

When you buy window tint you pay for three things: the film, the installer’s time and the brand. The most heavily advertised brands charge more for that last part.

HITEK’s flagship publishes the same class of numbers as the big names. Ceramic Ultra and XPEL’s PRIME XR PLUS both list infrared rejection in the mid-to-high 90s and up to about 71% total solar energy rejection, and HITEK is usually priced below it. See XPEL vs HITEK for the specs side by side.

That difference is real money you can put somewhere useful:

  • Step up to Ceramic Ultra instead of settling for an entry film.
  • Add a clear heat-rejecting windshield film.
  • Do Ultra on the front doors, where Texas keeps the shade light, and Ceramic IR in back.

At Texas Tinted, HITEK car tint starts at $249 with Ceramic IR. See the price of every line for your exact vehicle in the instant quote.

A proven film, and a company behind it

HITEK sources its film from an established manufacturer that has produced sun control window film for more than 35 years, the same way most window film brands, XPEL included, work. HITEK says its films have been “trusted for decades, with some films still performing over 20 years after installation” (HITEK).

We’re an authorized dealer for HITEK and 3M, and we chose HITEK for the same reasons we’d give a friend: the film performs, it holds its color, and HITEK stands behind it and its dealers. It lets us offer real ceramic heat rejection at every price point instead of pushing one expensive product.

HITEK is an easy choice if you

  • Want ceramic heat rejection at a legal Texas front-door shade.
  • Are comparing quotes for XPEL, Autobahn or 3M and want similar published specs for less.
  • Want a warranty you can use anywhere in the country.
  • Care how the car looks in five years, not just on pickup day.
