The cost of window tint in Houston depends on four things: the vehicle (how many windows and how curved the glass is), the coverage you want, the film line (HITEK Ceramic IR is our entry film; 3M Crystalline and HITEK Ceramic Ultra are the top tier), and whether old film needs to be removed. What changes the price of car tint
- Vehicle. A two-door coupe has fewer, smaller windows than a three-row SUV. Steeply curved rear glass takes more time.
- Coverage. Front doors only, full sides and back, plus add-ons like a windshield strip or glass roof.
- Film line. Every film we install is ceramic. HITEK Ceramic IR is the value option; 3M Crystalline and HITEK Ceramic Ultra cost more and block the most heat.
- Removal. Stripping old film and glue is separate labor, especially on rear glass with defroster lines.
- Mobile. A trip fee may apply outside our free travel radius.

Paint protection and coating prices
Beyond window tint, our two other automotive services have their own starting prices. Paint protection film starts at $995 for a partial front, $1,895 for a full front on a car ($2,195 for trucks and SUVs), $2,595 for a track pack and $5,500 for a full wrap, with add-ons like headlamps and door edges from $160. Ceramic coating is priced by vehicle size and how much paint correction the finish needs.
Why the cheapest tint is usually the most expensive
A $99 tint special in Houston almost always means dyed film. Dyed film turns purple and bubbles within a few summers, and removing failed film and glue costs about as much as the original job. Then you buy tint again. Ceramic film from an authorized dealer costs more once and is warranted for as long as you own the car.
How to read a tint quote
- Film line named. A quote that just says “ceramic” without a brand and series is a red flag.
- Shade per window. Front and rear shades should be listed separately.
- Removal included or excluded. Make sure old-film removal is on the quote if you need it.
- Warranty terms. Lifetime should mean the manufacturer’s warranty plus the shop’s labor.
- Legal compliance label. Texas requires a label between film and glass; ask if the shop installs it.
