Office
Conference rooms
Frosted bands or full-height frost so meetings stay private and the office still feels bright.
Privacy & decorative film
Frosted, white out, black out and one-way films for conference rooms, bathrooms, doors and storefronts. Privacy in hours, not weeks.
Quick answer
Privacy and decorative window film changes how glass looks and how much people can see through it. Frosted and whiteout films give privacy day and night while letting light through; blackout film blocks light completely; reflective films give one-way privacy in daylight. Texas Tinted installs HITEK White Frost, White Out and Black Out and other decorative films for Houston homes and offices.
Glass walls and doors make spaces feel open, until you need a private conversation or a bathroom window faces the neighbors. Decorative film adds privacy exactly where you need it and leaves the rest of the glass clear.

Reflective films let you see out while people outside see a mirrored surface, but only while it is brighter outside than inside. At night, with lights on indoors, the effect flips. For privacy at all hours, use frost or white out film, or pair reflective film with shades.
Privacy film is a spectrum. On one end is a light frost or gradient that softens a view without hiding it, the kind used on glass-walled offices where people should still sense movement. On the other is full black out, which turns glass into a wall. Most Houston projects land in between: a frosted band at seated eye level on conference rooms, full-height frost on bathroom and exam-room glass, and white out on storage or server rooms.
We bring samples to your space, hold them on the glass, and look from both sides at the time of day that matters most. Film that looks right at noon can look different at 6 PM with lights on inside, especially reflective films.
Frost and decorative films can be plotter-cut into bands, stripes, patterns and logos, so privacy film doubles as branding. Common requests are a company mark on the lobby door, numbered conference rooms, and a gradient that fades from frost at the bottom to clear at the top. Send us a vector file and we handle the rest.
| Film | Look | Privacy | Light |
|---|---|---|---|
| White Frost | Etched or sandblasted glass | High, both directions, all hours | Diffused, bright |
| White Out | Solid white panel | Complete | Blocked |
| Black Out | Solid black panel | Complete | Blocked |
| Dual-reflective | Light mirror outside, neutral inside | Daytime one-way | Reduced |
| Gradient frost | Frost fading to clear | Where you need it | Mostly open |
All of these can be combined with security film for glass that is both private and tougher to get through, or with 3M DI-NOC on the surrounding walls and doors.
Reflective film gives one-way privacy only when it is brighter on the outside. At night with indoor lights on, people can see in. Frosted or white out film gives privacy at all hours.
