3M™ DI-NOC™ architectural finishes
Real-looking wood, stone, metal and solid finishes applied over the cabinets, walls, doors and elevators you already have. Days, not weeks.
Quick answer
3M™ DI-NOC™ Architectural Finishes are self-adhesive interior films that look and feel like wood, stone, concrete, metal, leather and solid colors. They are applied over existing walls, doors, columns, cabinets, elevators and fixtures, including curved surfaces, so a space can be refreshed without demolition. 3M offers nearly 1,000 designs. Texas Tinted installs DI-NOC for Houston homes and businesses.
Replacing cabinets, wall panels or elevator interiors means demolition, dust, dumpsters and weeks of downtime. DI-NOC goes on over the surface you already have. 3M’s Comply™ adhesive lets air escape during application, which helps the film go on smooth.
The film can wrap edges and curves, so finished pieces look like solid material instead of a sticker.

Most of the DI-NOC work we do falls into two groups. The first is commercial spaces that cannot close: hotel corridors, medical offices, bank branches and elevator cabs, where a traditional refinish means scaffolding, dust and weeks of disruption. The second is homeowners who like their kitchen layout but not the oak cabinets, and who want a new finish without a six-week renovation.
In both cases the math is the same. The film costs less than new material, the labor is measured in days, and the old surface stays in place, so there is nothing to haul away. For leased or managed properties, that also means the space can go back to its original finish later.
DI-NOC bonds best to smooth, sealed, non-porous surfaces: laminate, painted drywall, primed MDF, metal, glass and existing veneer. Rough or chalky surfaces need priming first, and heavily damaged substrates need repair, because the film follows whatever is under it. We check every surface during the quote and include any prep in the proposal, so there are no surprises on install day.
Ask about pairing DI-NOC with frosted glass film for a full office refresh, or with solar film on the windows in the same visit.
Yes. Cabinet refacing is one of the most popular uses. Doors, drawer fronts and exposed cabinet sides can all be covered.
We recommend it mainly for vertical and light-use surfaces. Heavy-wear horizontal surfaces like busy countertops need a more durable solution.
3M lists an expected performance life of 12 years for indoor vertical applications.
Yes, it can be removed professionally. Some substrates may need touch-up afterward.
It is a premium architectural film made for interior surfaces, with realistic textures and an air-release adhesive, rather than a vehicle wrap film.
