Car tint for street parkers, privacy film for bungalows and townhomes, and storefront film for Westheimer’s shops and restaurants.
Quick answer
Texas Tinted serves Montrose from our shop near the Galleria and with mobile service. We install ceramic car tint, privacy and low-e film for Montrose bungalows and townhomes, and solar, privacy and security film for shops, galleries and restaurants along Westheimer.
Montrose mixes 1920s bungalows, new three-story townhomes and a dense strip of restaurants, galleries and shops. Each has its own window problem: old single-pane glass, tall townhome windows facing a neighbor’s wall, and storefronts that bake in the afternoon.
A lot of Montrose cars live on the street. Darker rear tint makes it harder to see what’s inside, and a cooler cabin is welcome when you can’t park in the shade. Head west on Westheimer or Richmond to our shop, or book mobile if you have off-street parking.
Ceramic film from 3M™ and HITEK for every vehicle, starting at $249, at legal Texas shades, with a lifetime warranty.

Front doors 25% minimum (film + glass), any shade in back with dual mirrors.
Learn moreFor older bungalows with single-pane windows, 3M™ Thinsulate™ low-e film improves insulation year-round. Townhomes facing each other get frosted or reflective privacy film so blinds can stay open.
Restaurants and bars with west-facing patios and windows use solar film to keep dinner service comfortable. Shops use UV-blocking film to slow merchandise fading, and security or anti-graffiti film on street-level glass.
Window tint is usually the first call, but the same Montrose customers come back for paint protection. Paint protection film from 3M™ and HITEK PPF Ultra starts at $995 for a partial front and guards the hood, fenders, bumper and mirrors from the chips that Westheimer and the freeways hand out. Ceramic coating adds gloss and makes the car easier to wash after pollen season. Many new-car owners book tint, film and coating in one visit.
Every car we tint gets ceramic film. The reason is simple: Texas caps the front doors at 25%, so you cannot get comfort from darkness on the windows next to you. Ceramic rejects infrared heat regardless of shade. Our entry line, HITEK Ceramic IR, starts at $249. 3M™ Crystalline and HITEK Ceramic Ultra are the top tier for cars that live outside or have glass roofs.

Darker rear tint makes valuables harder to see, which removes some temptation. It doesn’t stop a determined thief, so keep valuables out of sight.
Yes. We install solar, privacy, security and anti-graffiti film and can work after hours so you stay open.
Usually. We inspect older glass first. Damaged or cracked panes should be repaired before film goes on.
Texas tint law applies statewide: front side windows at least 25% light transmission (film and glass together) and no more than 25% reflective, rear side windows any shade, the back glass any shade with outside mirrors on both sides, and windshield film only above the AS-1 line or top 5 inches.
