Short answer
HITEK Ceramic Ultra is the best HITEK tint for heat, with 96% infrared rejection and up to 71% total solar energy rejection. Ceramic Black gives a deep black look with good heat control, and Ceramic IR is the lowest-priced way to get real ceramic heat rejection. All three are non-metal, block 99% of UV and come in shades from 5% to 70%. In Houston, the smart money usually goes to Ceramic Ultra on the front doors, where Texas law keeps the film light.

HITEK’s published figures (Ceramic Ultra, Ceramic Black, lineup).
In our heat lamp test of 30% films, Ceramic Ultra let 9 BTU through and Ceramic Black 47, out of 240 with no film: 96% vs 80% of the heat blocked.
Ceramic Ultra: the most heat rejection
Choose Ultra if your car sits in the sun, you have a glass roof, or you want the front doors as cool as possible at a legal 25–35% shade. Light Ultra shades keep a clear, factory look while still blocking most of the infrared heat.
Ceramic Black: the black look
Choose Ceramic Black if you want the deep black look from outside with better heat rejection than dyed or carbon film. It pairs a dyed base with nano-ceramic particles, so it looks blacker than Ultra at the same shade.
Ceramic IR: ceramic on a budget
Choose Ceramic IR if you want a real step up from dyed or carbon tint for the lowest price. It still blocks 99% of UV and doesn’t interfere with phone, GPS or keyless entry.
Mixing lines to save money
A popular Houston setup is Ceramic Ultra on the front doors and windshield strip, where you sit and where the film has to stay light, and Ceramic IR on the darker rear windows. You get most of the comfort for less. See Texas tint laws for the legal shades.
HITEK backs its ceramic window films with a nationwide lifetime warranty, and any HITEK dealer can help with a claim, not just the shop that installed it. That matters if you move or travel. Find a dealer on HITEK’s dealer map. Ask your installer for the exact terms of the line you choose.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best HITEK window tint?
Ceramic Ultra, HITEK’s flagship: 96% infrared rejection at 1025 nm and up to 71% total solar energy rejection.
Is HITEK Ceramic Ultra worth it over Ceramic IR?
On the front doors and windshield strip, usually yes, because Texas law keeps those windows light and the heat rejection has to come from the film. Ceramic IR is often enough in back.
Is HITEK Ceramic Black real ceramic?
It combines a dyed base with nano-ceramic particles, so it gets its black look from the dye and part of its heat rejection from the ceramic.
